We were contacted by CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Larimer County regarding an addition to their existing 3,900 SF building. They were “gifted” the historic Harmony House by Larimer County to help promote the important work they do in our community. In order to provide the space and services they do, more administration space is needed. The planned 2,400 SF addition will provide more offices, an open work space, a large conference room, and most importantly, a secure and accessible entrance for their visiting families. Working with the Historic Preservation Committee provides guidance on the architecture for the new addition. Identifying a clear connection point between the existing 1890’s home and the new style allows for the historic architecture to stand out and for the addition to be clearly defined.
