Today, our architects are en route to San Francisco for the 2022 Greenbuild International Conference & Expo! Presented in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, the 2022 Greenbuild Conference will be an amazing opportunity for our architects to network and hone their skills in utilizing the most up-to-date sustainability practices. There will be a lot to see and learn about and we can’t wait to hear about all the cutting edge practices our architects will have to share with us.
We are extremely excited to announce that we will be working with CASA of Larimer County on the renovations and an addition to the historic Harmony House. As an organization that does so much to improve the lives and experiences of children who have endured abuse or neglect, we feel honored to play a part in enhancing the spaces that support their work and mission. We are extremely grateful to all our sub-consultants that are a part of this project team and look forward to seeing this project come to life.
Join us in congratulating our own Jordan Lockner on being announced the recipient of the 2022 Environmental Design – Young Designer Award from the University of Colorado at Boulder! The award was presented to Jordan at a presentation and lecture last week and kicked off a series of events that Jordan will attend to help support CU Boulder’s Environmental Design students over the next year.
We’ve been really busy in the studio but we couldn’t do it without the support of our team, their families, and the community. Because of this, it has been important to us to have some fun, and to show up where we can to support our peers and the organizations they believe in.
Well, we planned on using the early September heatwave to our advantage to spend a day on the reservoir, but mother nature decided differently. The day we set aside for our Q3 Boat Outing was the first day in weeks the temperature dropped well below 90 degrees so we quickly had to come up with a plan B – axe throwing! What better way for our team to bond and let loose than enjoying tacos at the Rio and some target practice at Greeley Hatchet House.
If you didn’t know already, we like to find reasons to celebrate our team members and their families. We didn’t have to look too hard for a reason to celebrate Architect Kaylyn Charlesworth and her husband Tim. With Tim’s help, we were able to host a small surprise baby shower for Kaylyn at The Farmhouse at Jessup Farms. Soon after the celebration, Kaylyn began her maternity leave and within days we received word that a healthy baby was welcomed by the couple. Please join us in congratulating them both on the start of this busy and exciting new chapter!
Well, you can’t win ’em all, but you can ensure your time does some good! Winning first is exactly what our Collab team did not do this year for CREW of Northern Colorado’s annual Bocce Ball tournament. CREW is an organization on a mission to transform the commercial real estate industry by advancing women globally. In spite of getting 2nd, we had a great time meeting new people and advancing a great cause. Congrats to Bone Dry Roofing on a job well done. We’ll be practicing for next year’s event!
In just over a month we will attend the 40th annual Respite Care Holiday Ball. It’s an incredible event, but better than that it is a chance to support one of Larimer County’s nonprofit gems. At Respite Care their mission is to provide short-term quality care for children with developmental disabilities and in turn provide some respite to their families, enabling them to enhance their quality of life. They are doing truly great work and we are excited to support such an amazing local organization dedicated to helping local families. Interested in donating or sponsoring? Click here!
At the end of November, we will be moving into our new office in Windsor. You can find us:
