When is the event?
December 9th from 4pm-8pm
Who can partake?
We are looking for 10 build teams with up to 5 kids on each team (all ages are welcome, but it is recommended for ages 6-12). Predetermined teams and free agents are welcome! We ask that all gingerneers register using the link below!
In addition to our gingerneers, we are looking for Architects and Engineers to volunteer as Project Managers to help guide each team through their project kick-off meeting and gingerbread build.
What is the cost of entry?
We ask that all gingerneers bring 1 bag of non-perishable food or other essential items to help build our Holiday Food Bank. Here is a list of preferred items for donation.
How it will work?
By contributing food items to our Holiday Food Bank, Gingerneers will unlock their gingerbread elevation and base materials. Each team will be given 30 minutes for a project kick-off meeting with their Lead Architect or Engineer to put together their conceptual designs and discuss the end use for their gingerbread structure. Once the design direction has been solidified, the team will have access to an FF&E bar with all the trimmings required to bring their vision to life. The team will have two hours to complete their project and add it to the gingerbread village.
Each structure and its intended use will be documented and shared to an online portal to accept votes throughout the following week from the community. We will share links with each team so their friends and family can vote on their build. At the end of the voting period, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a special stocking prize pack and be recognized on our annual trophy.
We will provide all building materials and base elevations. Pizza, snacks, and drinks will also be provided as well as t-shirts for each gingerneer.

Sponsorship opportunities
Gingerneer TEAM Sponsor ($500)
As a team sponsor, you will provide build teams with protective clothing (t-shirts), food and refreshments, and the design awards for the top three teams. Your logo will be included in all marketing materials for the event, on display during the event, and included on the event t-shirt.
Structural Sponsor ($250)
As a structural event sponsor, you will be providing each team with their base build materials, elevation design, and project kick-off materials. Your logo will be included in all marketing materials for the event and your sponsored structure will fly a flag with your logo during the event.
FF&E Sponsor ($100)
As an FF&E event sponsor, you will be providing our gingerneers with furnishings, fixtures, and equipment bar including all the trimmings to bring their gingerbread creation to life. Your logo will be included on all marketing materials for the event and will be posted at the FF&E bar during the event

In the spirit of strengthening those connections, giving back, and spreading some good old fashion holiday cheer, we have decided that a little friendly gingerbread build-off is the way to go!
What began as an idea for a friendly in-house competition among colleagues, quickly turned into something much bigger (cue the discussions of candy-cane skyscrapers, pretzel clad cottages, and twizzlered tudors). We realized there was an opportunity to grow this idea into a way to support the Food Bank for Larimer County this holiday season and get kids and the ACE community involved.
We hope to give community members in need access to the food and personal supplies necessary to make their holidays as bright as our own.
