Welcoming Bryan Merritt to the Collab Team
Bryan Merritt joined the Collab team on April 21, bringing with him over 25 years of architectural experience spanning civic, cultural, recreational, and specialty design. His career has included work on large-scale event spaces, historic theater renovations, educational environments, and equestrian facilities throughout Oklahoma and Colorado—building a foundation of thoughtful, community-focused design across a wide range of project types.
Since his arrival, Bryan has stepped confidently into a project management role on several of our recreation and municipal efforts, including the Town of Silverthorne Recreation Center Expansion. He has also become a valuable contributor to our proposal process, supporting pursuit efforts and bringing his planning and technical insight to early-stage project development.
Bryan’s strengths lie not only in his diverse project experience, but in his steady communication style, strategic thinking, and ability to foster collaboration across disciplines. He’s a natural mentor and a strong addition to our internal team culture—helping guide younger designers and providing seasoned perspective as we take on more complex work.
Outside the studio, Bryan is fueled by fresh air and good company. He spends time hiking, camping, and paddleboarding with his family, squeezing in a concert or road trip whenever possible. He’s also an animal lover—with dogs, cats, snakes, and a notoriously protective guard rooster named Blueberry rounding out his home crew.
We’re glad to have Bryan on board and excited about the experience, leadership, and curiosity he brings to Collab’s growing portfolio.
