This renovation brought new life to a historic corner and important community thoroughfare of Main Street in Johnstown.

Collab partnered with Design Studio Blue for a 3,175 SF remodel of the Precision Family Eyecare facility. This was a landmark building on Main Street in downtown Johnstown that was dilapidated and structurally deficient. Our primary goal was to completely renovate both the interior and exterior while preserving the character of the Johnstown community. This space now includes six exam rooms in addition to administrative and retail areas.

Design Studio Blue provided interior design, space planning, fixture coordination, and furniture selections for this space. Collab Architecture assisted with the code and life safety analysis and exterior improvements.

The design concept blended modern aesthetics with the historic space, featuring exposed wood ceilings, light color materials, medium wood tones, and metal accents. New, larger windows replaced the old block windows, flooding the retail area with natural light and creating a welcoming environment. Adjustable chandeliers added a sleek, modern, yet timeless touch to the lighting.
