Front Range Community College, Boulder County Campus Renovations

The Front Range Community College Boulder County Campus features multiple buildings and a unique model in that each is leased individually. Collab Architecture worked on several buildings across the 115,433 SF Boulder County campus to reconfigure staff and student spaces, making them more conducive and flexible for various user groups. The scope of work included the renovation of the existing administrative area to accommodate new offices, a conference room, and a mail and copy room. Additionally, a new online learning center, departmental staff space, private offices, a campus creation facility, and new classrooms were created.

Extensive coordination and communication across multiple departments and stakeholder groups were vital to achieving all project objectives. Universal design principles were applied to accommodate all user groups and ensure that campus facilities and restrooms met current code and ADA standards. Security, fire alarm, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems were also upgraded during this process.

Campus standards developed by Collab for this project were utilized throughout subsequent FRCC projects to ensure cohesive branding and design across multiple FRCC campuses.
